Hamare parivaar ke bachche, teesri, chauthi peedhi, Pitaji ko naye sire se jaan aur pehchaan rahe the. Mujhe laga, ek ghante ki film, kisi vyakti ki personality ki kitni layers parat dar parat khol deti hai. Pitaji ke mitron, parichiton, aur hum sabne unhe naye roop mein paaya.

2024, Pitaji ka centenary year. What to do? How to do? We had many questions. My younger sister Divya said—film banayenge.

Frankly, mujhe laga film banayenge kaise? Hamare paas toh Pitaji ka ek bhi audio-video clip nahi tha. Khair, we met Brahmanand and hamari gaadi chal nikli. Participants ka age group 40 se 97 tak tha, lekin director sahab ne har ek se itne pyaar se poocha ki saamne wala apna dil undeil deta tha. Kahan kahan se, kaisi kaisi baatein khod khod kar saamne la rahe the.

Jaise hi pehla cut dekha, ankhon mein aansu, hothon par muskaan, aur dil mein director, co-director aur crew ke liye gehra pyaar. Aise bhi film banti hai!

First screening ke baad log milne aaye, kisi ke ankhon mein aansu, koi rundhe gale se, toh koi pyaar se gale lagakar Pitaji ki personality ke rangon ki baat kar raha tha. Hamare parivaar ke bachche, teesri, chauthi peedhi, Pitaji ko naye sire se jaan aur pehchaan rahe the. Mujhe laga, ek ghante ki film, kisi vyakti ki personality ki kitni layers parat dar parat khol deti hai. Pitaji ke mitron, parichiton, aur hum sabne unhe naye roop mein paaya.

Jab jab screening hui, ajnabi bhi Dr. Naithani ke vyaktitva, krititva, vision aur jeevan se itne prabhavit hue ki jaise apne hi kisi parivaar ke vyakti se mile ho. Aur khubsurti yeh ki har ek ko is film mein apne liye kuch na kuch mila.

Pitaji par film banane ki sochi, phir bani, phir humne baar baar dekhi—aur har baar aankhen bheegi, gala rundha, aur pyaar umadkar aaya—apno par, dekhne walon par, aur sabse badkar director, co-director aur crew par. Jo chaha tha, woh poora paya.

Mujhe vishwas hai ki aaj ki aur aanewali peedhiyaan Dr. Naithani se jeene ki prerna leti rahengi. Dhanyavad.

When I first saw the film made by Mobius Films on our family and business, I was deeply moved. It beautifully captured three generations and conveyed much more than we had ever asked for. It felt authentic, heartfelt, and gave me a sense of pride and belonging that is hard to put into words.

I’ve known Brahmanand and Mobius films for many years, ever since I saw Pancham Unmixed – a film I’ve been a huge fan of.

And therefore, when I needed to work on a film to mark the centenary year of the oldest organized centre in the world for learning Yoga – The Yoga Institute, Brahmanand was my first choice. Needless to add, “Transforming Lives” turned out to be way beyond our expectations.

The real purpose of this movie was to share our 15-year journey, our culture, and our reason for starting XLNC. With our network across 4–8 states, it’s not possible to meet and personally share our story with everyone. That’s why we’ve introduced this film in our training camps across Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka. 

I am really thankful to Mobius  for making such an excellent movie for us. Honestly, while it was being shot, I couldn’t understand the impact, because it felt like interviews after interviews. But when I saw it on the big screen, I got goosebumps in every scene, every transition. It truly touched my heart!

Our journey from 2009 till now has been presented so beautifully, so motivating and inspiring. I’m deeply grateful to the entire team for making our story such a wonderful experience. Shooting is usually tedious, but I learned so much about sound, light, framing—and saw how patient you all were. Hats off!

In just 90 minutes, they understand what we try to explain in a two-day training camp.

Our purpose is to reach people, tell our story, and inspire them to achieve their dreams and that has been completely fulfilled through this XLNC movie. Personally, I’ve always felt a sense of comfort and creativity in my sessions with Brahmanandji and Tanviji, which helped me share our story with ease. You’ve brought all of that alive on screen—and even more that I had ever imagined!

So once again, heartfelt thanks to the entire team, Brahmanandji, Tanviji, for this inspiring journey. I truly hope we collaborate on more projects in the future.

Amidst all praises and compliments, the highlight for me was when my nieces and nephews- who were too young to know their Naanaji when he passed away, were so moved! They suddenly felt they got an unexpected and unbelievable opportunity to know him, get an insight into his personality, understand the family in a new perspective.

In 2023 when my family started planning my father’s upcoming centenary year, I suggested a documentary about him- with ONE condition. Only if Brahmanand makes it. Full stop. 

The idea was not to just create a tribute for namesake but to ACTUALLY document the illustrious life of a simple man who touched thousands of lives yet maintained a very low profile. 

More than anyone else in the world, I felt we owed it to our future generations! They must realize the legacy they are carrying forward and be more responsible about the same!

In the last week of Nov 2023, it was decided he will work on it. And it now seems unbelievable that we managed to shoot 5 full days, interview more than 30 people of different age groups across various parts of Mumbai, went through hundreds of old photographs to choose from, spent loooooooooong hours of post-production and had a private screening with our near and dear ones as per schedule in April 2024!

The film Shashikosha covers every aspect of my father’s personality in an amazing way! The flow of the film, the way the various bits and pieces have been put together to complete the entire picture is incredible. 

Not just me or my family, everyone who saw the film was left speechless! Those whose lives were touched by his presence in some way or the other were obviously moved to tears! Amidst all praises and compliments, the highlight for me was when my nieces and nephews- who were too young to know their Naanaji when he passed away, were so moved! They suddenly felt they got an unexpected and unbelievable opportunity to know him, get an insight into his personality, understand the family in a new perspective.

Professionally speaking, if I were to pick 2 of Brahmanand’s most appealing strengths, they would be – an absolutely brilliant ability to make people open up and pour their hearts out by asking the most apt questions… bringing a strong emotional connect. The second of course is the crisp edits, just the right background music that binds the visuals… basically not a dull moment where the viewers can get distracted. 

I wish Brahmanand and his Mobius team the best for their future projects! May more and more people realize that if they would like the true essence, the legacy of any person soulfully captured and documented for posterity, Brahmanand Siingh is The Man.
